Executive Director
POSITION OVERVIEW
This is a part-time position providing direct support to the Haddonfield Educational Trust’s President and Board of Trustees. The Executive Director will focus on donor and supporter communications and outreach, research of issues related to the scholarship and fundraising efforts, event planning, and assisting with promotional work for fundraising and community outreach events.
At a high level, the Executive Director will:

Collaborate with the Board of Trustees to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize business objectives.

Monitor Trust operations for compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.

Develop partnerships with volunteers, sponsors and other relevant parties.

Identify potential risks and opportunities within the organization and its environment to protect financial interests.

Identify potential sources of investment and organize fundraising efforts.

Represent the Trust at social and corporate events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the organization’s message.
MONTHLY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the donor database
-
Checking the PO Box, managing the banking

Writing donor letters, blog posts, and press releases

Providing administrative support to the Board of Trustees
-
Organizing and attend meetings and events as the business representative of the HET
-
Event planning for annual fundraising events including the Golf Tournament in June and Rally in the Alley in November

Social media promotion for annual fundraising events
-
Collaboration with Trustees to create new ideas for campaigns to support lead generation efforts
-
Other projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Excellent computer knowledge with both MAC and PC environments

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Power Point), as well as WordPress, database management and social media tools

Excellent communications skills, with a strong interest in creating content

Ability to work independently, take initiative, prioritize workload and meet deadlines. MUST be proactive, organized and detail-oriented

Able and willing to adapt to various duties and be flexible

WORK HOURS/BENEFITS
Flexible 30 hours per month
Annual salary: $15,000

From the Haddonfield Educational Trust Bylaws:
The Board of Trustees shall elect an Executive Director who shall report directly to and be under the supervision and direction of the Board of Trustees and shall report to the Board of Trustees through the President. The Executive Director shall carry on the general affairs of the Corporation. On an annual timetable established by the Board of Trustees, the Executive Director shall prepare a proposed budget for the next year and present same to the Board of Trustees for its review, modification, if necessary, and approval. The Executive Director shall make periodic reports to the Board of Trustees concerning the programs of the Corporation, and in conjunction with the Treasurer, prepare an annual report on the financial operations and condition of the Corporation. The Executive Director shall comply with all orders from the Board of Trustees for the control of the agents and employees of the Corporation, and all such servants, agents, and employees shall report to and be responsible to the Executive Director.
